Leighton Fun Runners meet every week on a Tuesday & Thursday Evening at The Cricket Clubhouse, Bell Close, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1RX.  On a Tuesday night we run various distances in groups around the town and the local area.  On a Thursday night we hold a speed and stamina training session.

Hello you crazy runners,

A round of applause please for the XC gang who did us proud last week. Special mention must be made of Martin Crane who (after borrowing Capt Claire’s over tight running top ) discovered that his shoulder blades had much more freedom to move if he wore the top back to front. What made you think of that Martin ☺.

Our own XC is Sunday 23rd. The call is still out for volunteers, so if you are free and have no intention on running then please let Steph know you would love to help. The call is also out for any home bakes cakes.

Runs this week:

Runner of the Month
Competition was fierce with 5 worthy nominations:

The discussion and debate raged all night long, with many tantrums, falling outs and the shameless bribing with alcohol. However, we agreed that we should recognise a member who smashed her personal 100 mile a month target, shows her club dedication by regularly helping and encouraging at the C25K and most importantly makes cakes TO DIE FOR. Fellow Runners and normal people please put your hands together for the that Dynamically Daring Darling miss Debbie Roff. Way to go girl ☺.

Other News:

Tickets are selling out fast for the Xmas party Friday 5th Dec. It’s first come first served, don’t delay.

Don’t forget the Santa Dash is scheduled for Sat 29th.

Happy Running.

Runner of the Month
