Time of year – October- a cold and foggy morning
Why I chose this race – A locally organised event to show my support at and I know it’s a lovely park.
Organisation – very well organised, no queues and not too much hanging around. The course was abundant with lovely friendly and encouraging marshals.
Feedback Summary – It was a really challenging course around a lovely park on a mixture of grass and muddy terrains. If the fog had lifted there would have been lovely views of Bedfordshire. The route was two laps which felt very long especially as there numerous small mountains to climb. The route was made so much more bearable by loads of lovely marshals around every corner offering support to all the runners. All the runners (the ones at the back anyway!) were really friendly and there was definitely some team spirit in helping each other up some of the hills. I even managed a sprint finish at the end!
Will I be back – probably not… no offence hills!
Tips for next time – Don’t go there expecting a PB, wear trail shoes and get there early to park as it is very limited!
