Course Description - A challenging trail run of approximately 15 kilometres, over a scenic route mainly on footpaths and bridleways with stunning Chiltern views. Starting on the outskirts of Tring, the course gradually ascends into the Ashridge Estate, past the Bridgewater Monument, takes in a stretch of the famous Ridgeway Path and Pitstone Hill before descending back along quiet paths into Tring.

Reality of Course Description - As described! A lovely variety of mixed terrain with stunning views and some quite scary hills thrown in.

Water and Fuel Stations - Yes to water stations and a cereal bar and water on finishing. Refreshments also available in the bar after.

Time of year - Autumn

Why I chose this race - Last minute entry, fellow club member couldn't make it so was able to transfer their number. Great timing for training for the Dirt Half.

Organisation - Tring Running Club did a great job. Very clearly marked and great marshal support throughout the run, including helping runners safely across a few roads.

Feedback Summary - Beautiful run! Stunning views and such a variety, you didn't get the chance to wish it was all over (except maybe the last mile, that wasn't much fun). There are cows but they were not interested at all.

Will I be back - Yes

Tips for next time - Don't forget to take the time to soak up the stunning views. Queue for the loo at the beginning was quite long so don't arrive too late.
