Our September ROTM is Andy Griggs & Claire Bartlett! Congratulations Andy & Claire!
Andy joined LFR in 2021 and since then has taken LFR by storm with his brilliant enthusiasm. Since we've been back running together from the 29/03/2021 Andy has taken part in 40 club runs, the 3rd highest! And when he's not taking part in club runs Andy is wearing he is LFR top with pride at parkruns and races where despite a niggling knee injury he is smashing out PB's left, right and centre! On top of that Andy has shown that he is always there to support fellow runners. You are definitely an LFR at heart. Good luck at the Great North Run Andy!
Claire has been a member of LFR for 4 years since joining the club via our C25k programme, she then continued to achieve 10k with the help of Coach Matt. Roll on 4 years Claire has recently just completed the Landmarks Half Marathon in London, whilst raising money for a charity close to her heart. I'm sure Claire never ever imagined she would run a half, but she proves once again that you really can do anything when you set your mind to it. Claire has shown such determination and character and always with a radiant smile on her happy face! She really is a stalwart of social runs and a great ambassador for LFR!
